Brave Like Wyatt, LLC coordinates donation drives to benefit families who are inpatient at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. We have donated toys, pantry items and laundry detergent so families can have free snacks and can take care of basic needs like washing their clothes.
We also participate in quarterly dinners to feed the inpatient families on the Cardiac Unit by supporting the Feed The Heart program and the patients and families on the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Unit.
Check out our blog to see past drives & dinners and our calendar of events to see our current need for donations.
Contact Jessica at info@bravelikewyatt.com if your school, church or group is interested in coordinating a supply drive!

For families of chronically ill children inpatient admission to the hospital can happen at any time. Sometimes we just aren't prepared and don't have time to run home and pack a bag leaving the family without basic necessities. COVID 19 has made it extremely difficult for families to receive packages from outside the hospital and gift shop prices are out of some families' budgets.
At Brave Like Wyatt we believe that families who have a child in the hospital and who are potentially reduced in income during that time should NEVER worry about buying basic necessities. Our Courage Bags are designed to provide toiletries, everyday items & comfort to families upon admission.
Check out our blog post here to see a list of what items we include in our Courage bags. It takes $25 to create a Courage Bag and we are always accepting donations of travel size toiletries if you are interested in donating some Courage!
Clean clothing and linens are essential to good physical and mental health.
Part of this is providing families with the means to be able to wash their clothes for free through our laundry pod donation drives. Another way we offer help is by providing new clothing for parents and patients who may not have an extra change of clothes or who may be so far away from home they can't access them. Or maybe they just can't afford to run to the store and get another outfit.
Standing in front of your child's medical team trying to understand what they are saying and be an active part of your child's care can be daunting, and even more difficult if you have been wearing the same clothes for several days. Parents and patients should never feel inferior or self conscious because of a lack of clean clothes. Our mission is to empower families. And by providing them with clean clothes and basic necessities parents are able to prioritize their child's care.
